Our verdict

It looks like an easy $200 bonus with $1000 tied up for 30 days. The bonus must be posted within 30 days and then you are free to transfer the funds and the bonus if you wish. This is one of the easiest bonuses from a bank/broker we’ve seen.

This bonus should work if you transfer investments through ACATS or if you simply deposit $1,000 in cash into your Ally Invest account. You can let the $1000 sit there or buy an investment or buy SGOV or whatever you want. A good chance to try an Allied Self-Directed Investment Account.

Note again, this bonus is only for those who have never had an Ally Invest account before. Many of us, myself included, have been targeted for various signup offers in the past and may have opened an account before.
