Citi ThankYou (Formerly Sears, not SYWR) is changing profit rates on 5/12


Reddit user emirMom got an e-mail about their Citi ThankYou card (Formerly Sears, Not SYWR) saying that the earning rate will change from 1x ThankYou points on all purchases in the same categories that former SYWR cardholders get:

Category of expenses Earnings current to 05/12/2026 Earn starting 13/05/2026 as a Citi ThankYou Mastercard for the primary card member
Gas stations 1 Thank You Point for every $1 spent on gas station purchases 5 Thank You Points for every $1 spent on the first $10,000 in gas station purchases per year
Restaurant & Grocery Stores 1 Thank You Point for every $1 spent on grocery and restaurant purchases 3 Thank You Points per $1 spent on the first $10,000 of combined grocery and restaurant purchases per year
Supermarkets and Pharmacies 1 Thank You Point for every $1 spent on drugstore or department store purchases 2 Thank You Points for every $1 spent on the first $10,000 of combined drugstore or department store purchases per year
All other purchases 1 Thank You Point on all other purchases 1 Thank You Point on all other purchases

Citi last made changes to this card in early 2025 when it was converted from the Citi Sears to the Citi ThankYou Mastercard.
