(Target) Amazon: Get up to 50% off when you use $3 American Express Reward Dollars (up to $80 in rebates)

Update 5/10/26: More targeted

Update 4/12/26: More targeted.

Update 2/2/26: The deal is back until 12/31/26. The offer now requires the use of $3 in Reward Dollars to receive the discount. Readers are also reporting that it doesn’t seem to be working for gift card purchases this time.

Update 11/25/25: More targeted, valid through 12/31/25. Only 1 redemption point required (and can it work on gift cards?).

Our verdict

We have posted many times about a similar offer for those with a linked Membership Rewards card. This new offer is for those with Blue Cash cards who earn reward dollars. I’ll link my Blue Cash card to Amazon to pay with points and then check back in a few days to see if I’m on target for this deal.

We have added this to ours The Complete Guide to Saving Money on Amazon; we keep there a list of all Shop With Points and similar offers.

You can use these promotions in a single transaction or in many smaller transactions. These deals usually work on third-party gift cards, but not on Amazon gift cards. Examples of gift cards available on Amazon:
