PNC has launched a new credit card called ‘PNC Spend Wisely‘. Basics of the card:
- No annual fee
- 0% introductory APR on purchases and balance transfers for 18 months
- Balance transfer fee 4%.
- $25 annual digital subscription credit
- Price protection
- Portico Piracy Protection
- A few quirks about April Fools’ Day
How useful this card really is depends on the credit limits they distribute. Don’t think the APR stuff is particularly useful as you’ll need to carry a balance after the free period ends. I’m not sure I’ve seen the Porch Piracy defense before.
Unfortunately, there is a 4% balance transfer fee, so it’s only really useful for new purchases. THESE 0% introductory offer for April are a leading indicator of recession and we have seen more and more card issuers introducing or reinserting them into Chase’s case. The best deals usually have there is also no balance transfer fee. Creating an up-to-date master list of these offers is on the to-do list. We will add this to the list of new credit cards.
