American Express has announced a new PARTNERSHIP with Fanatics. This will involve three things:
- The new Fanatics American Express® Card. The card will be launched later this year with details available in the coming months.
- The card will earn FanCash
- Cardholders will receive exclusive benefits and top-level status within the Fanatics ONE loyalty program
- Membership rewards will be transferred to FanCash within the next year.
- American Express becomes the official payment partner of Fanatics & Fanatics Fest
Our verdict
It appears that the card will be issued by First Electronic Bank and managed by Imprint. This means that this is not a real American Express card, it just works on the American Express payment network. A number of Mark use this configuration (eg RakutenShell and more).
I can’t see the option to transfer to FanCash being that useful unless the transfer rate is really good or they offer lucrative transfer bonuses. We will add this to the list of credit cards announced for 2026.
