American Express will discontinue personal loans for corporate cardholders

American Express has offered an annual fee credit of up to $150 to corporate cardholders who also hold a personal credit card for a long time. Last year they stopped accepting new applications for the program, but existing cardholders continued to receive credit.

Reddit user ShadesMcCool first reported that cardholders are seeing a notification on their At Work dashboard stating that the annual credit will no longer be available to Corporate card members effective August 27, 2026 and cardholders will be notified on 6/2/26.

Not surprisingly, this change was made when they stopped allowing new registrations. They stopped allowing recordings on August 29, 2025, so basically allowing those recordings for a full year.
