Verizon launched a new loyalty program for their customers called Verizon Shine:
- Free Weekly drops every Monday, similar to what T-Mobile Tuesday does with their T-Mobile Tuesday. Last Monday (we missed it, sorry) they offered a $5 Starbucks gift card. I’m not sure it will be that good every week, but we’ll see. Also every Monday: enter the contest to win free prizes.
- Other days of the week will also have random payouts from time to time.
- Get 3% back in Verizon dollars when you pay your Verizon bill each month (minus taxes/fees). These dollars cannot be used to pay the next bill. They will work on the purchase of new phones and accessories, or on purchases from partner brands such as Hilton, Marriott, Starbucks, Sephora and Roblox.
- note: according to this Reddit reportsoon it will be possible to pay your Verizon credit card bill with Verizon Dollars. For cardholders, this will make Verizon Dollars as good as cash.
- Those signed up for Verizon Shine will also have two fees waived:
- $40 activation fee paid when you start a new line of service.
- The $40 upgrade fee is charged when you switch service to a new device.
We’ll try to cover Monday’s deals if they prove useful. Let me know if I’m missing any of the new Verizon Shine details. Not sure if Verizon Shine works for Verizon prepaid customers.
Examples of freebies during the first month of Verizon Shine:
- Free coffee from Starbucks
- Free Dunkin’ treats
- Free sandwich special from Arby’s
- Exclusive FIFA World Cup 2026 Merchandise
- Free hour at TopGolf
- Free gift card to Ulta
- Free Amazon Gift Cards
- Last chance tickets for FIFA World Cup 2026 matches drop on June 22 for customers in host cities
