Streaming subscribers YouTube TV and DirecTV filed suit against Disney for violating antitrust and consumer protection laws by engaging in schemes to raise the prices of Live Streaming Pay Television (“SLPTV”). Disney has agreed to settle the lawsuit and pay subscribers.
Who is eligible?
YouTube TV and DirecTV Stream refunds include anyone who purchased a subscription between April 1, 2019 and March 31, 2026.
How much?
Disney will pay $50 million. 90% of the net settlement fund will be allocated to payments to members of the settlement class who resided in a voiding jurisdiction at any time during the class period. 10% of the net settlement fund will be allocated to payments to the remaining members of the settlement class located in non-repeal jurisdictions.
If you are a member of the payment classes, you can submit a claim form to receive a cash payment prorated for the duration of your YouTube TV and/or DirecTV streaming subscription.

Our verdict
No word on how much the payout will be, it will depend on how many people submit, but it can never hurt to submit a claim if you are eligible. It looks like you would have received a unique claim ID, if you qualify.
