Update 3/24/26: Gift cards have been pulled from online but are still available in store.
American Express added $300 in annual Lululemon credits for their Platinum Consumer Card with a new $75 credit available each calendar quarter (January-March, April-June, July-September, October-December).
remark
- Sign up: Be sure to sign up for Lululemon Credit before using. Just register the first time when you get the card and that registration lasts forever on that card.
- Payment: Apple Pay in store it’s good. Readers REPORT that PayPal online payments have worked to trigger credit as well.
- time: Be sure to do any online shopping a few days in advance of the end of the quarter in case the item is not shipped immediately or the charge is not completed immediately. Please comment below if you have success with an online order in the last day or two. In-store purchases must be good through the last day of the quarter.
- Works only in the US, not in international stores.
- Credit works on the Lululemon website and in Lululemon stores. Not valid at Lululemon Outlets.
AmEx has a tracker for Lululemon credit, along with all the other benefit trackers out there. You can find it online or in the AmEx app. You’ll usually see expenses appear in the tracker a few days before the actual statement credit posts to your account.
Stack Opportunities
- portal: When you shop online, you go through an online shopping portal. Compare rates here. Historically, Rakuten seems to crash OVER their rate is 10 times every few weeks, and occasionally even 12 times or 15 times.
- Amex/Chase offer: There are often Amex offer or Chase Offers for Lululemon. Even if you don’t get the AmEx offer on the Platinum card itself, it should still be possible to go to a Lululemon store and ask them to split the purchases between the cards. For example, if you’re spending $200, put $75 on the Platinum card and another $125 on a card with an Amex/Chase Offer.
- Coupon for the first time: You can get 15% off your first online order of full-price items when you sign up for Lululemon emails. (Exceptions include: We Made Too Much, Accessories, and Gift Cards.) If you don’t see the popup, go to incognito mode and it should appear.
- bids: Check this DoC tag #lululemon to see if there is any relevant agreement. There are often deals on Black Friday, Cyber Monday and likely other times, so keep an eye out.
- Gift cards: Terms exclude gift cards from earning the $75 credit. In practice, it’s possible to buy a physical Lululemon gift card in-store or online. (Online electronic gift cards are unlikely to work since they are processed by Cashstar.) There is always a chance that, at some point, they will recode their online checkout and/or in-store checkout so that the gift cards are recognizable and excluded from credit.
- Data points for gift cards that work in-store: 1, 2, 3, 4
- Data points for physical gift cards that work online: 1, 2, 3, 4
- You should also be able to purchase a $150 in-store gift card and split it between two Platinum cards. And you can buy a $150 physical gift card online and use Paypal to split the fee between two cards – multiple REPORTS SAY that Paypal payment works.
- Withdrawal: You can try cashing in the $75 credit by purchasing a Lululemon gift card and then reselling it – here is an old/dated guide I once wrote about selling gift cards. Or you can try buying actual clothing and reselling it on eBay. Or finding a friend who wears Lululemon clothing and working something with them.
- Return reset: Another option could be to purchase a $75 item for a quarter and then return to the store within 30 days to return the item for a store credit. This can help you ‘roll’ multiple $75 credits into a single item. I’m no expert on how Lululemon processes returns, but hopefully there’s a way to ask them for a store credit instead of a card refund.
- Payment breakdown: if you have some Platinum cards, go to the store and the cashier must be able to be separated the item between the two cards.
- Free Articles: If you want something completely free, search for a specific category and sort by price. Here is a sample link of a specific category showing low cost items at the top. Here it is a link to low-cost accessory items; Some people talk about their Kudo belt bag as a popular item (currently $24). There is also a backpack currently $49. You can make a series of small purchases and get refunded until you finish $75; no need to spend it all in one purchase.
- Double Dive: When you sign up for the Platinum card, you can typically get five $75 credits within the first year. For example, if you apply during November, you will receive the Q4 credit of that year and then the Q1-Q4 credits of the following year. If you really time it, it’s possible to get six $75 credits by applying in the middle of the last month of the quarter (March, June, September or December) and then holding the card for a few weeks after the annual fee posts. People often like to apply in December to try to triple the various annual credits that match the calendar year, and doing so can work to squeeze out one more Lululemon $75 credit. (Even if you cancel the card before the charge is fully posted you will likely still get the $75 credit.)
- Military, First Response: Lululemon is offering 15% off for military personnel (active, reservist, veteran, retired), including spouses and dependents from the same family. Also for First Responders (firefighters, law enforcement, search and rescue, EMTs, doctors, licensed nurses). Apparently sometimes it is 25%.
- Fitness professionals: Fitness instructors, trainers, gym owners, athletes, trainers and staff may also qualify for Lululemon’s ‘Sweat Collective’ program, which gives 25% off full-price items for personal use.

You can track your Lululemon spending progress by going to the dedicated tracker on the Amex app or website. (If you return something, some reports (which the tracker updates to show that you have more spend credits available.)
