- $199 annual fee (first year fee NOT waived)
- The card earns the following fees:
- Earn 4x points per dollar at Hyatt properties
- Earn 2x points per dollar in your top three categories, from a selection of the following eight categories (they call this the “Adaptive Accelerator”):
- Food
- Transportation
- Airline tickets when purchased directly with the airline
- Local transport and commuting
- Social networks and search engine Advertising
- Car rental agencies
- Petrol pumps
- Internet, cable and telephone services
- Earn 2 points per dollar on fitness club and gym memberships
- Earn 1 point per dollar on all other spending
- Spend $50,000 or more on the card in a calendar year and receive 10% of points redeemed as bonus points for the remainder of the calendar year (maximum 20,000 bonus points per calendar year)
- Earn $100 in Hyatt Credits Every Anniversary Year: Spend $50 or more at any Hyatt property and earn $50 in statement credits up to twice each anniversary year
- World of Hyatt auto-detect status (typically requires 10 tier-qualifying nights or 25,000 base points)
- Gift up to 5 Discoverist statuses to employees of their company (they don’t have to be cardholders)
- 5 Tier Qualifying Night Credits with every $10,000 spent on the card in a calendar year
- Access to Hyatt Leverage, Hyatt’s global business travel program that offers special rates to qualified small and medium-sized enterprises at participating Hyatt hotels worldwide
- There are no foreign transaction fees
- There is no fee for employee business cards
- Primary rental car damage waiver
Our verdict
Standard offer was 60k/$5k and we recently saw $80k/$10k. This $70K/$7K offering is a balance between higher points and lower costs, which some may prefer. Consider Hyatt’s recent devaluationand some people will not be so excited about these amounts. Not sure if this offer is still showing up in the referral links.
Chase business cards do not count toward your 5/24 status (although you still need to be under 5/24 to be approved). We will add this to the our list of the best credit card bonuses.
