Our verdict
$50 is the best we’ve seen and is a great deal for a simple portal signup. You can also invite your spouse, friends and family to get this deal and you will get $50 for referring them too.
You also have the option of earning Rakuten cashback as membership reward points instead, which some people will find more valuable.
An easy way to meet the $50 spend requirement is to click through Rakuten to Giftcards.com and buy a $50 gift card from Visa, Starbucks, Instacart, Home Depot, Lowe’s, Target, and more. Of course there are hundreds of other merchants on Rakuten that work just as well, but buying a $50 Visa gift card is something that almost anyone can find a way to use.
