According to Bloomberg sources say Spirit Airlines could be liquidated as early as this week. The spirit would join with JetBlue before it was blocked by the DOJ AND then the deal was terminated by JetBlue. Spirit then filed for bankruptcy this August and was expected to emerge from that process this summer before rising fuel costs put additional pressure on the airline.
