ShopBack is a cashback portal and extension – click through the portal or extension and earn cashback on purchases at hundreds of retailers.
Here are some interesting offers I see right now; these offers will change over time. You must be able to check out many of the current deals raised at this link.
- Amazon (portal connection)- ShopBack offers 1.5% cashback on Amazon purchases, up to $5 per order and up to 5 purchases each month. Maximize just by clicking “Back to Shopping” on your big Amazon purchases. Note: Terms exclude purchases paid with your Amazon Gift Card balance. For Amazon cashback you have to click through the add-on, while for other retailers you can click through the online portal without the add-on. ShopBack inserts their affiliate cookie on Amazon checkout, which will replace any other affiliate you’ve clicked on.
Walmart (portal connection) – they’re currently offering 20% back on Walmart purchases in select categories. Max $15 cashback.Doordash (portal connection) – 10% cashback, up to $10 cashback per order.Uber EATS – earn $4 for each order (not limited to the first order as in other portals).
Referral bonus $15 and more
ShopBack has a nice $15 signup bonus for new members who sign up using a referral link. The $15 will be reflected in your ShopBack immediately. Within 180 days, the new member must earn $15 on confirmed Cashback. The $15 referral bonus will then become available if you have confirmed your Paypal withdrawal details.

Additional $5 bonus
They also usually have a special offer for new members to get $5 for adding the Shopback browser extension and using it one time. These offers vary, but keep a lookout in your searches.
$6 Shipping Bonus
New users usually also have an offer to get $5.98 in bonuses via two $2.99 shipping discounts if you shop through the Shopback browser extension. You must apply the discount at checkout and then the refund will appear in your account. Some report getting those shipping discounts even when there was no shipping cost. YMMV. New users should see this shipping discount offer on their search page. It only works at select retailers (including Walmart, Best Buy, eBay, Petco, Temu, DoorDash, Newegg and more), and only when you use the add-on. Easyish $5.98 in bonuses.
Research bonus
You can also get various other Shopback bonuses by going to the Quests tab at the top of the page, or use this link. Be sure to ‘Join’ the Quests and then ‘claim’ the bonus. You may be doing some of these activities anyway and these are easy extra bonuses.
Here are some of the Quests bonuses, these rewards will change over time; I’ll just leave these here as examples:
- $10 bonus for buying 3 brands
- $20 on your first purchase with a minimum spend of $10 or more
- $20 on $250 spent on travel stamps

Our verdict
This appears to be an easy $15 with the initial signup referral bonus if you can get $5 in cash back earnings (eg five purchases at Amazon or some other merchant). And hopefully you will get some bonus Quests or other added offers that can further increase your earnings.
Apart from the initial signup bonuses, the portal can be useful for earning Amazon cashback and some of the other enhanced cashback offers as well. Always compare rates with other shopping portals Cash Monitor or another aggregator.
ShopBack has a Wikipedia page and has apparently been around since at least 2015. They appear to be a company established in other countries and are now expanding into the US (We have no direct affiliation with ShopBack.)
The Shopback platform has a sleek and professional feel. I also like that the terms are clearly defined for each retailer. Hopefully this will prove to be another useful shopping portal/extension. Feel free to share your experiences below.
