Update on 10/25/20: Now I’m seeing Best Buy, Verizon, Walmart, Safeway, Home Depot, Instacart, eBay, etc. Lots of great new options and some that were never available before.

Update 5/28/25: they REMOVE most useful/worthwhile options like eBay, Home Depot, Lowe’s, etc. For many people it could be worth it to just move from Capital One Shopping.
Note: the choice varies by user and seems to come and go. Some people may still have redemption options for Home Depot or Ebay, for example.
For those open to selling gift cards: there are still options that can be resold for 75%+, so it’s probably worth sticking around for the best deals.
Update 5/4/25: eBay, Home Depot, Albertson’s, Grubhub redemption options are gone for some. YMMV on each of them.

Original post: Oh! The Capital One Shopping portal removed the following gift card redemption options: Walmart, Safeway, Bed Bath & Beyond, Petco. They have added some new brands, like CVS, SiriusXM and a few others.
The portal does not allow direct cashing of rewards; we need to buy a gift card. Walmart and Safeway were probably the most used cash options. They have many more top brand redemption options (direct link), such as Home Depot, Lowe’s, eBay, Kohl’s, Nike, etc.
Personally, I’ve always cashed out through Walmart gift cards. I’m not sure how much I’ll use the portal since I don’t shop at any of those other brands regularly.
If you have a Capital One credit card, it’s a good idea to check if the Capital One Offers within your bank login have the same offer as those rewards are cashed out as statement credit.
