Our verdict
You can get a bonus of 100,000 without upgrading. The advantage of the upgrade is that you should be able to get the bonus even if you had Business Platinum before. If that’s you and you’re on target, then this offer is worth considering as you wouldn’t normally be able to claim the bonus again. Just keep in mind the $895 annual fee. This is partially offset by the $200 airline credit and other perks (eg lounge access), but it still may not be worth it for some, especially if you already have another variant of a Platinum card. The $10,000 spend requirement may also be difficult for many readers to meet.
