Our verdict

When these cards were announced, I said the only thing that could save them is a big sign-up bonus, and that’s exactly what Bank of America has offered here. Someone made a mistake on the Royal One Plus landing page as it says “no annual fee” when the terms say there is a $99 annual fee. May be able to push to waive at least for the first year.

If you ever go on these types of cruises then I think the Royal One Plus bonus is great enough to seriously consider as the credit can be used on board or towards booking. We will add this to our list best credit card bonuses.
