In fall 2025, Coinbase will launch an American Express credit card which earns 2-4% back in Bitcoin on all purchases. Everyone gets 2% back on all purchases, and those who hold more crypto in their Coinbase wallet will earn higher rates: 2.5%, 3% or 4%. I can’t find details on exactly what the levels will be.
The card is only available to Coinbase One subscribers, which now has a basic membership level of $4.99 per month or $49.99 per year.
Coinbase One Card is offered by Coinbase Cards, Inc. and Cardless, Inc. issued by First Electronic Bank. American Express is a registered trademark of American Express and is used by the issuer under license.
I personally do not use crypto and therefore cannot recommend it. For someone holding crypto (or USDC), this can be a way to earn ‘cashback’ (in Bitcoin), up to 4% on all credit card purchases.
The only other way to earn 4% on all credit card purchases is for those who have the first version of the US Bank Smartly card. Additionally, the 2-3% range is generally the highest earning rate of cash back on good cash back credit cards.
