Yesterday there was a wave of people getting their Chase Amazon Prime cards closed. Two reasons seem to be given:
- Inactivity on the card
- Overhead and cycling credit limits (for example this reddit user had $1,200,000 in a previous month)
It’s quite possible that the passivity shutdowns are just standard and not part of a broader shutdown and they’re being thrown into the mix because we’re seeing other shutdowns. If you are closed then feel free to share your spending volume etc in the comments below, although most of this discussion is going on in private groups. If you’re wondering how people are spending so much on Amazon, some of it is legitimate personal spending, but mostly it’s business spending (technically not on personal cards) and group order purchases. If you are a normal cardholder, you have nothing to worry about.
