Discover has sent a letter to some account holders informing them that “prepaid bank accounts can no longer be linked as external accounts for transfers between banks. As a result, on 5/29/2026, we will delete your external bank account(s) listed below and any future transfers, if applicable.
The way this is worded makes it seem like a legal requirement, but I’m not aware of any changes requiring this from Discover. I hope someone can clarify for me in the comments.
