BMO Bank had been offering nationwide banking bonuses for some time, but the last variation was limited to Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Minnesota, New Mexico, Nevada, Oregon, Utah, Washington or Wisconsin at the time of application. At the time I wasn’t sure why, but BMO Bank sold 138 First Citizens bank branches in 11 states in a deal with a 5% net deposit premium.
