- Bement State Bank offers a $200 checking bonus when you open a new checking account and meet the following requirements within 60 days of account opening:
- Register in the estate.
- Sign up for Online Banking.
- Make 45 debit card transactions.
- Sign up for direct deposit and initial deposits reach a minimum of $200.

- Your checking account must remain open and in good standing (no overdrafts or returned items) in order for you to receive the reward, which will be credited to the eligible account within 60 days after all conditions have been met and will be identified as “Promotional Starter Reward” on your monthly statement.
- A qualifying debit card purchase is defined as any debit card purchase made at the point of sale using your signature or PIN, or a purchase made electronically or online using your debit card number, including recurring payments.
- A qualified Direct Deposit is defined as a recurring Direct Deposit of a paycheck, pension, social security or other regular monthly income deposited electronically by an employer or an outside agency into your Bement State Bank checking account. The total amount of all qualifying direct deposits credited to your checking account must be at least $1,000. Credit card cash transfers, transfers from one account to another, or deposits made at a branch or ATM do not qualify as Qualified Direct Deposits.
- The new account will not qualify for the offer if any signer has signing authority on an existing Bement State Bank consumer checking account, or has closed a checking account within the last 90 days.
- If multiple accounts are opened with the same signers, only one account will qualify for the premium.
- For this offer, the signing authority will be determined by the customer’s name(s) and social security number(s) recorded on the account.
- Offer may be extended, modified or discontinued at any time and may vary by market.
- The value of the award may be reported on Internal Revenue Service (IRS) Form 1099 and may be considered taxable income to you.
Avoidance of fees
Both Green Rewards and the Advantage Checking Account have no monthly fees to worry about. I couldn’t find any fee plans, so I’m not sure if there are any early account termination fees.
Our verdict
Not a very good bonus at all, only $100 and requires branch opening and the bonus requirements are not easy to meet either. I personally wouldn’t recommend this unless you live very close to a branch and have already done them all much better bonuses that are available.
