Kroger gas stations can now be used for grocery rebates

Loyalty points from Kroger and affiliates (King Soopers, Ralph’s, etc.) can now be used for regular grocery purchases as well. This is in addition to the old option of using it for Kroger gas purchases. Apparently this was already a thing in some places and has now spread to everyone.

  • Use 1,000 points to get $10 off regular grocery shopping. (Apparently it can’t be used to buy gift cards, just regular merchandise.)
  • Limit one deduction of $10 per day.
  • Grocery redemption works by redeeming at your Kroger

Compared to gas usage: You get $1 off per gallon with 1,000 points. If you have a large 35 gallon tank, then 1000 points can be worth $35, which is much better than using the $10 grocery store. However, this is extremely useful for those who don’t need gas or who have too many gas stations to run on gas.
