Readers have requested that we re-open referral threads from time to time so that people can share their links if they missed their share initially. We have decided to create a master list of referral topics and also list which topics are currently open. When a post is reopened I will update this thread and also post a comment below to let people know, you can subscribe to the comments so you get an e-mail when a thread is reopened. Reopened threads will normally remain reopened for 24-48 hours.
It is important not to share your link/info in a reopened thread if you have already shared as you are only allowed to share your link once. If you share it again, you’ll remove both, that link will be banned forever, and if you do it again, you’ll lose the ability to share referrals on the site altogether.
Doing so will likely cause additional work/moderation on my part, so please hold each other accountable or we’ll just stop reopening threads. Additionally, I’ll only add reference threads that were posted in the last week since I can’t be bothered to go through the back catalog. If you think there is a particularly big/important topic (think bonuses in best credit card OR bonus bank account thread) you think should be included then comment it below and I’ll add them.
Remember to only use referral links from people you find useful on the site, as they deserve to be rewarded. I’m also thinking maybe it makes sense to link to the actual bonus thread (titled) and then reference next to it, but I’m open to ideas.
We’re also open to ideas that better reward readers who make useful contributions instead of the last people who leave a link by getting too many referrals or by turning on random mode (please stop asking for random mode. I don’t want another thread to be broken).
If you think there’s a better way to handle reopened thread notifications, let me know. I could make a new newsletter that only sends an e-mail when one of these threads is reopened, but that’s a bit of extra work on the end, so I’d rather see if this site works well first.
