Our verdict
Recently we saw debit cards issued by united, SouthwestAND Wyndham. This Spirit card is from a different bank supporter and the details are not that similar to the others.
During the first year, the 200 monthly points help somewhat offset the $6.99 monthly fee. After the first year, if you’re not spending on the card or doing the balance bonus, you’re basically paying $6.99 a month for Group 2 priority boarding, priority check-in, and access to earning points. Perhaps 0.5x on debit purchases could be useful in some scenarios (eg tax payments).
In general, it can be somewhat interesting to frequent Spirit flyers that do not carry a Spirit credit card.
