Rakuten has a new page for ‘Rakuten+’this is a paid membership program that offers 10% cashback (minimum) to selected merchants all the time. I hadn’t seen this before, but it looks like it’s been available for at least a year, maybe two?

Our verdict
Honestly, the rates don’t look great when compared to the rates often found on other portals. I think if you are buying in volume from any of the dealers listed and can’t wait between purchases, it could be useful. Also sometimes brands will increase cashback rates but decrease sales etc so this can avoid it. However, think that the use cases are quite small.
