There used to be a six month period where you would lose the bonus if you quit, but sometime in 2022 (?) they removed that clause and so now it’s safe to quit after getting your bonus paid.
Our verdict
Previously, these bonuses were not worth considering as it was better to do it $900 combined check/savings promotion. Now there are flat check bonuses for 400 dollars OR 900 dollars so some people would be eligible for this bonus.
This account earns essentially 0%, so if we compare it to an account earning 5% APY, you would earn $123 on that account with $10,000 in 90 days (it’s actually better than that since you only have to hold the funds from day 29/30 – 90). Whereas this bonus you get $200 so it’s a bit better. Personally I would expect a more generous savings offer to come.
