Terms allow any ExpressVPN membership plan. The most expensive is VPN per plan for 2 years + 4 months. Basic, Advanced or Pro level plans must all be running to get 120% cashback. (Skip/scroll up find the Pro plan.) The Pro plan costs $209.72 and has no sales tax (AFAIK). You should get $251.66 from ShopBack for a $41.94 money maker, plus some credit card points.
Our verdict
ExpressVPN is a popular VPN service and so this is a good chance to try them out. I bought the most expensive plan which is VIP for 28 months and the cost was $209.72 without any sales tax for me. My purchase was tracked in less than an hour and I received an email from ShopBack with the details of the pending refund, noting that “$251.66 is coming soon”.
ExpressVPN has a 30-day money-back guarantee. If there is any problem with tracking the portal, I will simply cancel the service within 30 days. If the portal follows, I will keep the service for 28 months. I’ll make a note to myself to cancel before the 28 months are up if I don’t want to pay the next subscription fee. You can also turn off automatic renewal and decide later whether to renew.
The only real ‘risk’ with this deal is if the portal tracks but somehow ends up not paying (payment won’t happen for about 90-100 days). I considered it a minimal risk, and so entered into this $42 money maker deal + some credit card points (for me it’s an extra ~$8 with the US Bank Smartly 4% card).
I can also try the VPN service if I need it, as I have heard of ExpressVPN in the past. I haven’t downloaded the VPN yet and I don’t think this would be a portal tracking requirement as the portal payment should be for the purchase.
