Update 3/18/26: Apparently support is offering some customers a 30 day grace period or refund. Hats off to him BonusVault
inKind has just sent an email to users updating the terms and conditions. The changes are as follows:
These changes:
- Better ensure the integrity of our platform, strengthen our rules around account abuse and manipulation to ensure that inKind continues to connect great friends with great restaurants.
- Update our dispute resolution process and add a bulk action waiver. If you wish to withdraw from this process, send a written notice to (email protected) within 30 days from March 14, 2026.
- Update how and when inKind balance components can be used. This will streamline the checkout flow to allow you to use either a) Cash in Kind, b) Cashback or c) an offer you may have. Making this change will reduce friction at the checkout and also give inKind the ability to support more restaurants.
The last item seems the biggest as it seems that it will no longer be possible to collect inKind cash offers or cash back. The changes come into effect on 16 March 2026. It should still be possible to stack by requiring two separate checks in some cases.
The two-day notice seems ridiculous given that some people have large cash balances in nature. We wouldn’t be surprised to see some sort of legal action taken as a result of this. You can send e-mail (email protected) asking them to reconsider this change, but I doubt it will do much.
